15 x 19 in, pastel

Calvin is a 16 year old retired field spaniel who's been a star in agility, obedience and tracking competitions. He's now enjoying his golden years relaxing on the sofa and occasionally snoring. He's a beloved member of his family and he knows it!

6 x 8 in, oil on linen panel

These brothers were wild, feral kitties until we caught them and placed them under our spell. Now they're lazy, laid back lap cats.

 14 x 16 in, pastel

This is Riana, the Champion Iron Welsh Challenge Gold Winner. She's a Welsh Springer Spaniel and she worked very hard for her award. Good for her. You can tell she's proud!

Hypnotic Husky

5.5 x 6 in, watercolor

Siberian huskies have a beautiful, wild, wolf-like appearance. I think they know how handsome they are.

You Talkin to Me?

8 x 10 in, watercolor

Here's Vinny trying to fit into a small patch of sunshine. I've exaggerated his girth but he, like so many of us, struggles with his weight.

I just lost my best friend Sammy who was 14 years young. He was the sweetest dog and everyone's friend. But Sammy loved me best. I miss him.

I'll get back to posting in a few days.

Samoyeds are sweet, big, fluffy teddy bears!

8 x 10 in, oil on canvas

This is my Sammy, the star of the neighborhood. Not only is he the most popular dog around, but he's also a source of curiosity. Everyone has their theories about his combination of breeds. He's so popular even the neighborhood feral cat waits at the door so she can join him on his daily walks. What a guy!

This is a sweet Welsh Springer Spaniel who was kind enough to pose for me while I took pictures. She looks as though she has a secret!

French Doggie

11 x 14 in, watercolor

This little guy was sitting on a chair looking very French in the little village of Rochefort. He was quite bored with all the picture taking.

Cinderella Story

9 x 12 in, oil on canvas

This sweet doggie showed up at our local shelter battered, bruised and horribly abused. She was nursed back to health by her fairy godmothers at the shelter. They helped to find her forever-home where she lives happily ever after. Everyone loves a happy ending!

8 x 10 in
oil on canvas

This is just a brief detour from the dogs. Cats are people too. This is my daughter's cat, Vinny flashing his Mona Lisa smile. He's a former Iowa street cat now living the good life in San Francisco. It pays to beg for food at my door!

Bullet, the Wonder Dog

6 x 6 in, oil on linen panel

This could be Bullet or White Shadow. People of a certain age know what I'm talking about. After a day of rounding up those pesky bank robbers, who doesn't need a nap?

Brown Eyes

6 x 6 in, oil on linen panel

Ok I'm taking a vacation from cats for awhile. So now for the dogs! We used to have a boxer in the neighborhood who was both goofy and sweet. Who could resist these soulful eyes?

Big Fluffball

5 x 7 in
oil on gessoboard

Hi, I'm back. I went to a cat show recently (yes they really exist). I don't know which was more interesting...the cat people or the cats. This furball looks like he's taking a nap, but actually he was getting brushed and fluffed for his big moment on stage!
