Sammy

8 x 10 in, oil on canvas

This is my Sammy, the star of the neighborhood. Not only is he the most popular dog around, but he's also a source of curiosity. Everyone has their theories about his combination of breeds. He's so popular even the neighborhood feral cat waits at the door so she can join him on his daily walks. What a guy!

This is a sweet Welsh Springer Spaniel who was kind enough to pose for me while I took pictures. She looks as though she has a secret!

French Doggie

11 x 14 in, watercolor

This little guy was sitting on a chair looking very French in the little village of Rochefort. He was quite bored with all the picture taking.

Cinderella Story

9 x 12 in, oil on canvas

This sweet doggie showed up at our local shelter battered, bruised and horribly abused. She was nursed back to health by her fairy godmothers at the shelter. They helped to find her forever-home where she lives happily ever after. Everyone loves a happy ending!

Vinny

8 x 10 in
oil on canvas

This is just a brief detour from the dogs. Cats are people too. This is my daughter's cat, Vinny flashing his Mona Lisa smile. He's a former Iowa street cat now living the good life in San Francisco. It pays to beg for food at my door!

Bullet, the Wonder Dog

6 x 6 in, oil on linen panel

This could be Bullet or White Shadow. People of a certain age know what I'm talking about. After a day of rounding up those pesky bank robbers, who doesn't need a nap?

Brown Eyes

6 x 6 in, oil on linen panel

Ok I'm taking a vacation from cats for awhile. So now for the dogs! We used to have a boxer in the neighborhood who was both goofy and sweet. Who could resist these soulful eyes?
